Usps tracking not updating for days
The United States Postal Service (USPS; also known as the Post Office, U. Mail, or Postal Service) is an independent agency of the United States federal government responsible for providing postal service in the United States. Mail traces its roots to 1775 during the Second Continental Congress, when Benjamin Franklin was appointed the first postmaster general. The USPS is legally obligated to serve all Americans, regardless of geography, at uniform price and quality. It is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the United States Constitution. The Post Office Department was created in 1792 from Franklin's operation, elevated to a cabinet-level department in 1872, and transformed in 1971 into the U. The USPS still has exclusive access to letter boxes marked "U. Mail" and personal letterboxes in the United States, but now has to compete against private package delivery services, such as United Parcel Service and Fed Ex.For example, informal independently-run postal routes operated in Boston as early as 1639, with a Boston to New York City service starting in 1672.A central postal organization came to the colonies in 1691, when Thomas Neale received a 21-year grant from the British Crown for a North American Postal Service.USPS tracking says that the package left Philadelphia on 09/14 enroute to destination.i ordered a pair of headphones from the states with ebay about 2 weeks ago and im still waiting for it to arrive.i got a tracking number but its been the same status for 2 weeks (electronic information received).how long does it usually take for a item to arrive from the states? Tracking it by Canada Post sucks but it's usually the cheapest way to ship something.
I can’t see paying extra so I can track how slow it’s taking.Since the early 1980s, many of the direct tax subsidies to the Post Office (with the exception of subsidies for costs associated with the disabled and overseas voters) have been reduced or eliminated in favor of indirect subsidies, in addition to the advantages associated with a government-enforced monopoly on the delivery of first-class mail.In the early years of the North American colonies, many attempts were made to initiate a postal service. Everytime I have had a package coming via USPS that includes tracking, I check the site religously. I then receive the package, and then check the site (see, wasn’t kidding about the moron part). A few hours later it updates and said it has been delivered. It half works–I keep checking just in case they get their junk together. It was instated because consumers were laughing at them for not having tracking, and then going to UPS/Fed EX/Airborne even though it costs more. Anyway, USPS finally got with the 21st century (a while ago, but this is still relevant) and has tracking on some shipments. Like the moron I am, I keep checking for updates (something that UPS/Fed Ex/Airborne do the time) and nothing changes. This faux tracking is nothing more than a bureaucratic tease. I’m not sure how they decide who to ship with, the last time I selected “super saver shipping” (AKA free), they sent it UPS and I got lovely/timely meta data.
